Welcome to Mechanical Logic (MECHL)
When I was learning about digital electronics (1970's) the components were large enough to see and simple enough to understand. Electronic components combined to form logic, logic combined to form functions, and functions combined to form digital machines. When I look at a computer I basically see a collection of functions, logic and circuits; most of which I understand.
I'm afraid most people look at a computer, electronic game, or digital watch and can only assume it operates by magic. There seems to be no other explanation when a sliver of glass does all the work.
This site will be for people who find it easier to understand how something works if they can see the operation and touch moving parts.
